The bird life in Mendocino is abundant, and there is no better place to see the wide variety of birds than along Mendocino's Big River (see a list of birds that may be seen in coastal Mendocino). Less than a mile from the inn, you will meet a local naturalist for a gentle 2 mile walk along Big River where, equipped with binoculars, you will have the opportunity to learn about the many species that make a migratory stop in Mendocino. $60.00 per person - 2 person minimum.
