Ocean Excursions
All ocean excursions leave out of Noyo Harbor (15 minutes north of the Inn). These trips offer a wonderful way for visitors to the coast to get up close and personal with the whales, or try their luck at fishing or crabbing.
Please note that ocean excursions are weather-dependent, and that the months offered may be affected by seasonal restrictions imposed by regulating agencies.
$50.00 per person - 2 hour whale watching excursions (January through March)
$90.00 per person - 5 hour fishing off the coast (May through September, includes gear)
$90.00 per person - 5 hour crabbing trip includes cooking of your catch (November through March)

Sea Cave Kayaking
Join a professionally-guided sea cave tour that departs less 2 miles from the Inn at Van Damme State Park. Choose either a single or tandem “sit-on-top” ocean kayak and your guide will outfit you in a wet suit, spray jacket and booties before leading the group on a one and a half-hour tour of the sea caves that riddle the Mendocino coast. With the area’s abundant marine life and clear waters, you may see harbor seals, sea stars, and many varieties of fish and shorebirds. . The caves are located within an area protected by an off-shore reef. Your tour will stay within this area to ensure a smooth ride, while still being able to observe wave action on outer reefs. These time-tested tours have been safely paddled by thousands of guests over the past 15 years and are considered one of the best adventures in the area. They depart daily (weather-dependent) at 11:30 am and 2:00 pm. Price is $80.00 per adult; $ 40.00 per Child (12 and under).
