North Coast Art Tour

After the logging industry faded along the North Coast early in the 20th century, Mendocino languished until an influx of artists and artisans in the 1950s injected new life into the community. Since then, the rugged beauty of the coast and the area’s isolation have drawn jewelry makers, sculptors, fine woodworkers, painters, potters, weavers and luthiers (guitar makers) to this beautiful part of Northern California.  This four-hour tour will take you to the heart of creativity as you explore the personal home studios of some of these talented individuals. Along the way, local award-winning wines and fine local artisanal chocolates will enhance your experience. The North Coast Art Tour is offered Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, and departs from the Inn at 12:30 p.m.*
